Cook – (Ginger Thomas) Prince Street Residence, St. Croix
The Cook is responsible for practicing safe food handling techniques while preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the residents. The cook will be responsible for planning and purchasing all food and necessary supplies and maintaining inventory and appropriate menu records.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of five years’ experience cooking in residential settings or related fields.
- Valid VI Driver’s License.
- Maintain compliance with valid CPR/First Aid certification and Food Handler’s Card.
Computer Technician – LSSVI Main Office, St. Croix
Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the Computer Technician is responsible for the maintenance of computer systems, troubleshooting errors, maintaining internet connectivity, running diagnostic tests, maintaining servers, repairing computer hardware, and providing technical support.
Basic Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Science or *current* equivalent technology certification (CompTIA A+ or Network+, Microsoft MTA or MCSA).
- Superior working knowledge of computer systems.
- Knowledge of data storage and data recovery.
Replacement Worker – (Ginger Thomas) Prince Street Residence, St. Croix
Replacement Workers provide direct care to residents with disabilities at Sister Emma Cottage and Ginger Thomas Residence. Replacement Workers are responsible for maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment which fosters growth and rehabilitation among the residents.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in residential care or related field.
- Certified Nurse Assistant Certification (Preferred)
- Ability to lift physically disabled residents (minimum of 50 pounds).
Floater/Teacher Assistant – Early Head Start, St. Croix
Assume all the responsibilities of the Early Head Start Teacher, Bus Monitor, Custodian, Office Assistant and/or Cook as needed. Responsible for maintaining a safe, healthy, developmentally appropriate environment for infants and toddlers enrolled in the Early Head Start program.
Basic Qualifications:
- CDA (Infant/Toddler Credential OR AA in Early Childhood Development or Education required.
- Valid Virgin Islands Driver’s License.
Assistant Cook – Early Head Start, St. Croix
The role of the Assistant Cook is to help prepare the meals served at the Early Head Start Program in accordance with Federal nutrition requirements for infants, children, and toddlers. The Assistant Cook must comply with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and follow established food production programs and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience cooking in a professional setting or related field.
- Valid VI driver’s license.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs as well as stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull carts.
- Must complete an annual physical examination and random drug testing.
- Maintain compliance with valid CPR/First Aid certification and Food Handlers’ Card.
Project Planner/Grant Writer – Early Head Start, St. Croix
The Project Planner/Grant Writer will provide coordinated services consistent with all applicable federal, state, and USVI Department of Building, Fire Department, Environmental Protection Agency laws, regulations, requirements, and codes including 45CFR, Part 1309 and Department of Health regulations. The Project Planner/Grant Writer will also be responsible for enforcement of the Davis Bacon Act and review of all U.S. Department of Labor payroll forms, job classifications, and wage rates. This position will further be responsible for writing the necessary grants needed to request funding for the projects relative to the recovery or rebuilding of the Early Head Start facilities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in management, business or related field
- 5 years’ experience in Project Management or related field
- 2 years’ experience in grant writing
Bus Driver/Maintenance– Early Head Start, St. Croix
Responsible for providing transportation to and from Early Head Start (EHS) centers for children and parents and maintaining the safety of all children on the bus. Responsible for maintaining EHS vehicles and running errands for the program. Performs maintenance and upkeep of the EHS Center and grounds.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- School Bus Driver License with a minimum of 3 years’ experience driving in the V.I.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Basic Repair and Maintenance knowledge
- Maintain compliance with valid CPR/First Aid certification and Food Handlers’ Card.
